Aiming for perfect exhibition texts?

Can we dream of a perfect exhibition text? Different museums and science centres have different ideas of what a good text is, the scientist whose research is reflected might have other ideas altogether, while in a family of four visitors, there might be five different opinions on the readability of the texts presented.

In this reverse session, museum and science centre professionals will give short insights into what, to their minds, constitutes good or bad approaches to exhibition texts. After a short review of the main trends in this topic – based on a literature review – different cultural and professional backgrounds will inform the discussion. A Brussels survey will shed light on the public understanding of exhibition texts. After short presentations from speakers, the floor will be open to discussion.
