European In-service training course, Schools and Science Museums: Cooperation for improving Teaching, Learning and Discovery

A new edition of the European In-service training course, Schools and Science Museums: Cooperation for improving Teaching, Learning and Discovery, 5 – 10 December 2011, Munich, Germany.

The course is aimed at teachers and museum educators. The objective is the development of knowledge and competences in science education through the use of museums as educational resources. It takes place at the Deutsches Museum of Munich and is held by a group of experts from Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy and Spain specializing in museum education, science education, teacher training, research and evaluation, new technologies. The participants will be actively involved in lectures, round tables, museum visits, interactive workshops and practical activities. The language of the course will be English but the materials used will be available in different languages. Both teachers and museum educators can apply for funding through Comenius or Grundtvig grants.
