On 25 July a new addition to the Parque de la Ciencias public offer opened its doors: the "BioDomo". The Biodomo is a window to the biodiversity of our planet and on the interactions that make this biodiversity possible. It is an immersive space combining aquaria and forest habitat reconstitutions, located inside Parque de las ciencias. It is dedicated to environmental education, species conservation and scientific research.

It focusses on tropical rainforests and on coral reefs, hotspots of our planet where biologic diversity reaches its maximum level.

The BioDomo shows the habitats of the Amazon, Madagascar and the Indo-Pacific area and offers an excellent opportunity for the development of R&D projects, and for international cooperation with conservation projects both in situ and ex situ.
