Many cultural institutions carry proposals of mediation with the public which include exchanges between artists and scientists. These projects may be motivated by a specific opportunity or a particular meeting, but they can also be included in a longer-term objective: using a different perspective on science, a sensitive eye, offset, and often poetic imagination. Whether in the field of performing arts, visual arts, literature, media or digital arts, our institutions generate meaningful content to be shared with our audience.
The program of this 31st AMCSTI Congress will present this reflection in action, as well as various experiences linking “arts” and “sciences”. This dialogue can change the way we look at arts and sciences.
How can these experiences be part of a regional project? How is structured such an exploration in our institutions? What about the perception from the public? What are the possible openings in the educational programs? What curiosity or resistance are there from funders? Meet at Gardanne (France) from July 1st to 3rd!
