The Science Centre World Summit, organized in Mechelen, Belgium, by Technopolis, the Flemish Science Centre, in cooperation with the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (Brussels) is a high-level, global meeting point for representatives from different fields to discuss topics concerning all parties. It creates a forum for alliances between scientists, policy makers, companies, institutions, science centres,…that will advance the issues related to the public engagement at a higher strategic level than before; but even more important, these partnerships will create a climate in which all parties support each other’s message and task. It gives scientists interested in communicating with the public the opportunity to explore new ways of doing so with science centres.

Morever, the truly global character of the event will enhance the attention of media.
