ASDC 2011 Annual Conference: Innovation and widening participation

The Chairman and Trustees of ASDC are delighted to invite you to ASDC’s first Annual Conference on Thursday, 15 September 2011, at Eureka! The National Children’s Museum in Halifax. The conference is supported by the Wellcome Trust, and runs alongside the British Science Festival – just ten minutes away by train in Bradford. The conference is targeted at CEOs and senior staff in the major UK public engagement organisations, including science and discovery centres, science museums, university outreach departments, learned societies and science outreach organisations. We would also be delighted to welcome education, marketing, policy and learning professionals from across the field.

Guest speakers include Professor Sir John Holman, Dr Amy Sanders from Wellcome Trust and Dr Teresa Anderson from Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre. There will also be a variety of speakers at the Pecha Kucha session by those delivering innovative engagement projects.
