As a member of Ecsite, you will be able to exchange experiences with the best professionals in the field, collaborate in projects on a European level, participate in high-profile events, keep abreast of the latest news from other members and the EU institutions – and much more.

Membership benefits include, but are not limited to the following:

  • have their own page on the Ecsite website
  • highlight their organisation’s news and events through the Ecsite website
  • have access to information on the activities of member institutions
  • participate with other members in Ecsite activities
  • keep abreast of all latest developments in the science communication world by exchanging best practices with the best in the field
  • receive our monthly e-news by email on major Ecsite activities and on news and events in the science communication field
  • receive the printed Ecsite Newsletter 4 times a year
  • participate to the Ecsite Annual Conference at a reduced fee

Categories of Membership

If your institution deals with science communication, whether it is a science centre or museum, a science festival, a zoo, an aquarium, a local authority, a university group or a company, come and join us!

Ecsite welcomes four different categories of members, according to organisation status (profit and non-profit), location (Europe or outside) and degree of involvement in the network’s activities. Full members

Full Members are non-profit organisations based in Europe.
Full Member have exclusive access to the following benefits:

  • right to vote at the Annual General Meeting notably for the Ecsite President and Board
  • can be elected to become Members of the Board
  • are invited to attend the Directors Forum once a year

Full membership fee 2012: € 1550 / YEAR

Associate members

Associate Members are non-profit organisations based in Europe and beyond.
Associate members include institutions who share Ecsite’s aims and are keen to participate in Ecsite activities. They have access to all Ecsite membership benefits.

Associate Membership fee 2012: € 370 / YEAR

Sustaining members

Sustaining Members are for-profit organisations that create products and services.
Sustaining members include companies and for-profit organisations that share Ecsite’s aims and are keen to participate in Ecsite activities. They have access to all Ecsite membership benefits.

Sustaining Membership fee 2012: € 775 / YEAR

Corporate Partners

Corporate Partners are for profit and not for profit organisations based in Europe and beyond.
Corporate Partners have exclusive access to the following membership benefits:

  • a free stand at the Annual Conference with additional advantages and promotional possibilities
  • Listing and logo in the Annual Conference exhibitor programme
  • 2 full registrations for the Full Ecsite Annual Conference
  • Possibility to register 2 extra people at the Conference at a reduced fee of € 235
  • Logo in the Ecsite Newsletter and Ecsite and Ecsite Conference website for the full year
  • One full page advertisement in the Ecsite Newsletter
