Techniquest

Techniquest Science Discovery Centre in Cardiff Bay has over 140 hands-on exhibits to entertain and educate visitors of any age. Race an electric car, fire a rocket and play a giant keyboard as well as much more! The Science Theatre hosts live shows, which investigate a range of fascinating topics. The mystery of space is revealed in the Planetarium, where you can explore the universe and take a tour of the stars, or why not experiment for yourself in an interactive Lab workshop? Throughout term time, an imaginitive programme of events for school groups is on offer for all ages from early years to A level.

A wide range of outreach takes place every year for both public and schools audiences. All schools outreach progammes are curriculum linked and include teachers guidance materials. Copies of the most successful prorgammes are available for sale or hire.

Techniquest designs, builds, installs and maintains almost all of its own exhibits and outreach programmes. The organisation often works in partnership with other centres, and there is a consultancy service and a “design and build” capability for clients, both in the UK and overseas.
