The Hungarian Museum of Science, Technology and Transport, currently in the process of revival, is one of the oldest transport museums in Europe. The Museum has been welcoming its guests since 1899, in the ever transforming 200 year-old City Park of Budapest. The core of the current refurbishment project is a complete reconstruction and re-foundation of the Hungarian Museum of Transport, to showcase the history of Hungarian transportation and urbanisation in a way that engages visitors of all ages and tourists alike employing state-of-the-art technology meeting 21st century standards.
