Thematic groups

Thematic groups bring together Ecsite professionals to exchange ideas and best practices on specific topics within the field. There are currently four different thematic groups active within the network. These groups form solely on the energy, ideas and initiative of Ecsite members.

Issues on natural sciences are of growing interest for many institutions engaged in science communication. New policies, activities, programmes, strategies are being built in a number of organizations in Europe and worldwide. Nature is becoming a priority for many institutions as a scientific and societal topic as it covers issues of growing interest for our societies as biodiversity, evolution, climate change and sustainability.

The first Ecsite thematic group dedicated to building a learning community for explainers by investigating their roles and training practices.

The aim of REV is to stimulate and help facilitate research and evaluation in science centres and museums across Europe.

Joining Ecsite’s Space Group translates to closer contact with Space professionals and also means being better informed about Space news, programmes and discoveries. The Space Group will also offer opportunities for sharing experience, expertise, knowledge and tools.
