Key activities
As the European network for science centres and museums, Ecsite connects member institutions through projects and activities and facilitates the exchange of ideas and best practice on current issues.
Projects
Ecsite links members from EU countries by participating in collaborative projects on innovative science communication activities. Ecsite runs projects funded by the European Commission as well as initiatives in partnership with other organisations.
Ecsite Annual Conference
The Ecsite Annual Conference is the most prominent meeting of science communication professionals in Europe, bringing together 1,000 professionals in the field. Please note: Log in to view your own sessions under “My account”, upper right side of your screen. The next conference is being held at Cité de l’espace, in Toulouse, France, 31 May – 2 June 2012.
Training

Directors Forum
Every year, the directors of Ecsite’s full member institutions meet for a two-day seminar to exchange views and discuss key issues. Each year, the Directors’ Forum is hosted by one of the participating institutions and discussions centre around a special theme.
Thematic groups
Thematic groups bring together Ecsite professionals to exchange ideas and best practices on specific topics within the field. There are currently two different thematic groups active within the network.
