Science Tunnel 3.0

The Max Planck Society's Science Tunnel promotes Research in Germany since the year 2000. Topics from basic research are the starting point for the multi-media exhibition, to demonstrate chances and possibilities of technological and social innovations for the future.

Max Planck Science Tunnel (construction at the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum, Paderborn)

The Science Tunnel shows research of the Max Planck Society, Germany’s biggest and most important scientific association. This is already the exhibition’s third installation after Science Tunnel I in 2000 and II in 2005, bringing together time-tested concepts of subject combination, new design and, thanks to an exhibition management system, ever current research results.

The touring exhibition, scheduled to open in September 2012, will take up 600 – 800 m2, according to the hosting parties possibilities. The exhibition consists of 11 thematic modules including multi-touch- and multimedia installations, mobile devices, hands on exhibits and projection space that will all fit into two over sea containers.
