Climate change has and will have mostly negative impacts on human health and our environment. Substantial changes of the average temperature disturb natural balance causing natural disasters more often and more vicious. Should we foresee the possible consequences in due time, we may be able to adapt and prepare for them.
Over the last hundred years the average air temperature in the World has increased by ~1°C, that is, from 13.7°C to 14.7°C. Climate of the Earth historically has changed already before, usually coinciding with activity cycles of the Sun. However, nowadays the acticity of the Sun is decreasing while the planet still heats up. Researches have shown that the air and water temperatures rapidly increase due to activities of the mankind. Depending on our activities in the future, by year 2100 the average temperature may increase by ~0.5°C up to 4°C more.
Exhibition "Green mission: Climate" interactively answers questions if there are any climate changes, what are the reasons and consequences of climate change, as well how to adapt to these changes, and whether or not they are preventable. VR googles, touchscreens, projectors, cyberbikes, hand motion sensors, EEG headsets and other technological solutions make learning about climate changes an active, entertaining, educational and interesting adventure not only for children, but also for youth and others, that are interested.
