EU survey on citizen science

The European Commission is increasingly recognizing the potential of citizen science to contribute to the knowledge base needed to support policy decisions. However, this potential is still largely untapped, and the European Commission would like to explore the conditions for the reliable and efficient use of citizen science in policy.

A consortium formed by BIO Innovation Service, Ibercivis and the Natural History Museum in London is developing an inventory of environmental citizen science initiatives, taking place at EU, regional, national or local levels.

Share your knowledge and experience if you're leading, funding, or know about relevant citizen science initiatives or platforms in your country linked to environmental policy by taking the survey until 23 February.
