ICEE, the International Committee on Exhibitions and Exchanges, builds bridges within the community of Exhibitions and Museums. This year’s conference is entitled “Involving New Museums, New Partners and New Incentives in Exhibition Making and Exchange”. Participants will embark on a Finnish museum tour, travelling between Helsinki, Espoo, Tampere and Mänttä where they will visit the newest museum in Finland: The Gösta pavilion for contemporary art. Several representatives of Ecsite member organizations are speakers. Michael John Gorman will explain how the Science Gallery (Ireland) puts together exhibitions “where science and art collide” ; Stefan Johansson from the Swedish Exhibition Agency will discuss the future of touring exhibitions in Sweden, taking into account “international vs. national experiences” ; and Mikko Myllykoski from Science Centre Heureka (Finland) will present successful examples of “dramaturgy in the service of exhibition design”.
